This bag can be the ultimate accessory for storing all of your essentials. Sewing supplies, beauty supplies, or whatnot. The options are endless. Angela will walk you through putting together this wonderful bag. It is great in quilter’s cotton or lightweight canvas or denim. Do not choose any heavier weight fabric or material for your first bag. I used lightweight canvas for the exterior and quilting cotton for the lining. Quilting cotton is appropriate for both exterior and lining for a softer bag.

This Beginning Quilting class will teach you the essentials of making a quilt. You will learn best practices in cutting, piecing, pressing, and assembling your quilt. You will learn the vocabulary of quilting and become a block detective. You will create at least twelve 12" finished blocks containing the component pieces of both traditional and modern blocks. You will be ready to assemble these blocks into a 48" x 61" sampler quilt with sashing, cornerstones, and a border.

The design uses a series of wonky-angle “trees” set against light (low-volume) background rectangles, allowing for creative fabric choices (traditional greens, or non-holiday colors/fabrics for a year-round look).

We'll go through the steps of the top three zipper insertion techniques?the centered zipper, the invisible or concealed zipper, and a mock fly. And then, of course, we?ll actually sew them. Leave not only with a firm understanding of this classic trio, but with the necessary skills and confidence to happily take on all variants. Go from beware?zippers, to ?zippers beware!?
