Kirsten Wolff

Kirsten Wolff’s love of sewing began when she was just three years old. Taught by her mother,
she stitched her first Barbie clothes with thread, fabric scraps, and a fearless curiosity that would
shape her lifelong passion for the craft. By age seventeen, she was teaching others—and she’s been doing it ever since.

While earning her Business Administration degree from Loyola Marymount University—graduating
Magna Cum Laude—Kirsten supported herself by designing and sewing custom wedding gowns,
evening wear, and performance costumes for professional dancers. Her work combined precision,
elegance, and movement, laying the foundation for her signature style.

She studied fashion design in Portland, Oregon, and earned credentials from the Fashion Institute of
Design & Merchandising (FIDM)
, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and Parsons School of Design.
Today, she is a Palmer/Pletsch–certified instructor in sewing, serger, and fit techniques.

With decades of hands-on experience and formal training, Kirsten specializes in garment sewing,
couture construction, and serger skills
, sharing both time-honored techniques and modern insights.
Her teaching style is known for being clear, supportive, and empowering—welcoming beginners while also
challenging more advanced students to refine their craft.

For Kirsten, sewing is more than a skill. It’s a lifelong art, a form of storytelling, and a powerful way to
create beauty with your own hands—and she’s honored to help others discover that for themselves.
