THE OLD FRONTIER

This collection started with very simple western appliqué designs. On close inspection, you will notice that the backgrounds of the designs are filled with little stitches that look like they are hand picked. We created this technique by alternating between single-ply running stitches and 15-ply running stitches. Since the 15-ply stitches are so bold, the single-ply stitches almost disappear resulting in a unique pattern that fills the designs. You will be amazed at the end result. Folded fabric borders complete the design, and transitional blocks round out the collection. If you own our 50 States collection, these designs would make a perfect addition, since they share the Americana theme.
